Nominating suggestions for the 2013-2014 PTA Executive Board are being accepted now! TheValentine PTA supports numerous programs and events, and provides important financial support to our school.

 

Please consider taking a leadership role, or nominate a friend, to help ensure PTA's tradition of providing a quality education for our students!

President - coordinates the work of officers and committees of the Valentine PTA ("Association"); presides at all meetings of the Association and the Executive Board

Executive Vice President - serves as the primary aide to the President; performs the duties of the President in the absence of that officer; chairs allocations committee and oversees teacher Wishlists

First Vice President (Chair of Programs) - arranges programs and speakers if needed for Association meetings; works with Council to coordinate Valentine's master calendar; oversees all Association committee chairpersons that are coordinating enrichment programs

Second Vice President (Chair of Membership) - responsible for the first day packet and PTA membership; oversees all Association committee chairpersons that are coordinating organizational programs

Third Vice President (Chair of Ways and Means) - oversees all Association committee chairpersons that are coordinating any functions with money intake involved

Business Chair of Parent Party - oversees the "Parent Party" fundraiser in all business functions

 

Creative Chair of Parent Party - oversees the "Parent Party" fundraiser in all creative functions

Business Chair of Fair - oversees the "Fair" fundraiser in all business functions

 

Creative Chair of Fair - oversees the "Fair" fundraiser in all creative functions

Recording Secretary - keeps accurate record of the proceedings of all meetings of the Executive Board and Association; signs all authorizations for payment for expenditure of funds following approval by the Executive Board and/or Association

Corresponding Secretary - conducts all necessary correspondence of the Association upon authorization of the President, Executive Board or Association

Treasurer - keeps permanent books of account and records; receives and retains copies of all deposits; pays all bills as authorized by the Executive Board and/or Association

Financial Secretary - gives a receipt for all moneys received for the Association and deposits in a bank; prepares all authorizations for payment

Auditor - reconciles monthly bank statements for all accounts

Historian - assembles and preserves a record of the activities, achievements and volunteer hours of the Association and helps Council with Founder's activities
