HEART Helpers Club
We are excited to announce the launch of a brand-new opportunity for our 4th and 5th grade students: the HEART Helpers Club!
The purpose of this club is to build a stronger, kinder, and more connected school community. Student members will serve as positive role models and mentors, helping their peers during recess and lunchtime. Their responsibilities will include:
- Assisting students at recess who may be experiencing a problem.
- Welcoming students who need a friend to play with.
- Teaching games such as handball and tetherball to anyone who wants to learn.
- Listening and providing support when someone just needs to talk.
- Helping beautify our campus by picking up trash and returning items to the Lost & Found.
- Mentorship opportunities with younger students.
- Support in TK-3rd grade classrooms.
Club members will be easy to spot during morning recess, as they will wear bright red vests so students know who to go to for help.
The club will meet monthly on the first Monday at 12:30 p.m. during lunch recess to plan recess duty schedules and discuss responsibilities. This structure will help students practice leadership, responsibility, and teamwork while contributing to a positive school environment.
We are very proud to be offering this opportunity and believe it will not only benefit the students who join, but also strengthen our entire school community.
Thank you for your support as we encourage our students to lead with kindness, heart, and responsibility.
