Restorative Practices
Restorative Practices focus on building and maintaining positive relationships, repairing harm when conflicts occur, and giving students the opportunity to reflect, take responsibility, and make things right. Instead of simply assigning consequences, teachers and administrators engage students in meaningful conversations using guiding questions that encourage empathy, accountability, problem-solving, and conflict resolution. We view challenging behaviors as learning opportunities.
When a student makes a mistake, we don’t just focus on consequences—we focus on teaching. We ask: What happened? Who was affected? How can we make it right? What can we do differently next time? This approach helps children feel supported, while also learning how their actions impact others. Our goal is to help every student grow into a respectful, empathetic, and responsible person.
