Welcome to Bilingual Buddies!

My name is Ms. Cheng, and I was born in Los Angeles, but didn't start learning English until I attended preschool and Kindergarten. I know how hard it can be to be in a different linguistic environment, as I have taught English in Taiwan and France before. We are so encouraged by and proud of our brave students who move here to a new home and have to learn a new language.

Students are helped by being given modified instruction and assignments in their classroom, and may be pulled out for English classes.

Pumpkin carving

On October 29th, from 11:00-11:30, we had a pumpkin carving. The ELD 5th grade class and parents participated in an American tradition at Valentine school, in San Marino. We worked very hard and made a very a very scary face on the pumpkin. I want to do that again next Halloween.
