Expectations

Each fifth grade teacher will provide many opportunities for students to develop greater independence this year; to become lifelong learners with the tools for utilizing a variety of methods for gathering, comprehending, and utilizing information.

With this independence comes a more mature sense of responsibility.  After much modeling by the teacher, students will learn how to keep track of assignments using the assignment notebook provided by our PTA.  In this manner, students will become better organized and realize that the test dates and due dates for assignments both short and long term, are their responsibilities.

Following classroom and playground rules is, of course, expected, and students will understand the roles they play this year as role models for the younger students on the campus.
