Fifth Grade Activities
The Fifth Grade Activities Week is a wonderful way for graduating students to end their experience at Valentine. There is a tradition of fun and memorable activities planned for your kids over the last few days of the school year.
PLEASE HAVE YOUR STUDENT BRING A WATER BOTTLE EACH DAY!
: Talent Show - Fifth grade students and teachers only. Parents may not attend.
: Hat Parade - Students arrive at Please have students wear their blue Class of '18 t-shirts. The Hat Parade will begin at on the Valentine Playground. Parents are encouraged to attend. for photographs with their hats. Students are encouraged to wear a special hat (any hat) even if they did not have a chance to create their own.
: Lacy Park Play Day - Students depart classes at and return to school around Students will walk to Lacy Park in groups with adult team captains and teachers, participate in Field Day games with Ms. Pollard and Coach Wes, and enjoy a Taco lunch. Parents are welcome to come cheer the kids on, but will not be part of the lunch.
: Gerrish Swim Day - Students depart school in carpools at Please pack a water bottle, change of clothes, a plastic bag for wet clothes, bathing suit and towel, sunscreen and goggles in a backpack. Remember to label all items with your child's name. DO NOT WEAR Class of '18 t-shirts this day. and return by
Pizza lunch, snacks and drinks will be provided for students. Parents may only attend if they are a designated chaperone.
: Fifth Grade Recognition Ceremony at
Location: Front of Valentine by Kindergarten carpool area.
Please have students wear their blue Class of '18 t-shirts to school.
Reception to follow outside of the 5th grade classrooms around Families are encouraged to attend this final 5th grade event.
Please note 2 seats per family may be saved due to limited seating. All family members who are present may use available seats.
